Terms and conditions
All bookings are subject to the following conditions:
Any payment made by the client, or others on behalf of the client signifies that the following conditions have been read, understood and accepted by the client him/her self.
Booking deposit is 25% of the total per person (non-refundable)
BALANCE: 70 days prior to the arrival date to Le Contesse.
All transactions are in Euro
Bank Transfer using SWIFT: "OUR" for non-EU, or "SHA" for EU
Le Contesse does not book or provide any flights or sea travel or car hire arrangements for participants, nor can held liable or responsible for any travel issues, delays or problems experienced by the participant with their travel carrier or via any mode of transport (public or private).
Le Contesse reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning "Le Contesse". If a class has been cancelled due to low attendance, sickness or any other matter regarding Le Contesse, all students will be notified as soon as possible and the option to reschedule to another date, or full refunds provided.
Le Contesse reserves the right to cancel or reschedule its classes in accordance with its operating requirements or for circumstances beyond its control, such as insufficient participation or any other unexpected incident (illness, etc.). All prepaid participants will receive 100% refund unless an alternative date can be agreed upon.
A minimum of 6 participants is required to run a scheduled daily class or 3 or 7 days program. In the event that minimum numbers are not reached, Le Contesse reserves the right to reschedule the class or refund in full.
In the event that the class is rescheduled, participants will be notified as soon as possible and the option to reschedule to another date, or full refunds provided.
Any inquiries as to changes to the original reservations need to be made in writing no later than 1 month before the date of the class. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but cannot guarantee availability of date/time change requested.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule your class, we would appreciate advance notice. This must be made in writing to "Le Contesse" and any such notice will become effective from the date of acceptance.
We reserve the right to charge cancellation fees as follows:
25% non-refundable deposit
Between 60 and 30 days prior to departure date 50% payable
29 days or fewer prior to departure date: 100% payable.
For no-shows the full course fee will be forfeited.
We regret we cannot accept liability for cancellations, changes or delays caused by any events which we, or the supplier of the service(s) in question, could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war, or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, technical problems to transport, public transport strikes, closure or congestion at airports. We are not liable for, nor will we reimburse any additional expenses such as taxi fares or the hire of a private driver to enable a participant to arrive at the pre-designated pick up point in time to commence their holiday or activity with us. We also accept no liability for client's use of or inability to control their own personal usage of alcohol or recreational drugs and the actions or accidents that may result from the use of these substances. We also accept no liability for client's mental or physical conditions, which may develop during or subsequent to the holiday, or the loss of, or damage to, personal property.
We also accept no liability for a client's physical or mental well-being during or after the time they are attending/have attended one of our cooking holidays or days. While we do our best to guide clients during our tours and give appropriate safety instructions during our cooking lessons, for example with the use of knives and in using a gas stove etc. We accept no liability for accidents and injuries that may occur to individuals during or after the holiday or activity with us. Although we will do our best to ascertain if clients have any allergies to certain foods and modify the cooking menu accordingly, we accept no responsibility for any physical or mental reaction, which may develop after a client, has consumed any food or liquids during or subsequent to the holiday. It is totally up to the client to choose to consume any food or liquid they may or may not have an allergy to.
We require confirmation of travel insurance to book a holiday with us. Such insurance should cover full medical expenses, personal baggage, personal accident or injury, accidental loss or damage to property, cancellation of a holiday due to any reason, personal liability, legal expenses and emergency and all activities that you decide to participate in during your holiday. We will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury. Your holiday travel insurance should cover these and other contingencies. We accept no liability for: cancellation, delays or changes caused by war, terrorism, fire, flood, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or any authorities, closure of airports, industrial action, public transport strikes, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, other events beyond our control. We are not liable for, nor will we reimburse any additional expenses such as taxi fares or the hire of a private driver to enable a participant to arrive at the pre-designated pick up point in time to commence their holiday with us. We also accept no liability for participants' medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop during or subsequent to the holiday.
Accommodation -Single Travelers
Due to the nature of our accommodation, single guests will share accommodation. If friends or couples travelling together wish to have their own bedroom each, a single supplement applies.
Health and Medication
Please consult your doctor, prior to your holiday, if you have any health problem, which may interfere with your ability to take part in the holiday, as it is your responsibility to be adequately fit. A first-aid supply will be available during cooking sessions, but the teachers are not medically qualified and any treatment will only be given with your express consent. Be sure to carry any specific personal medication at all times. We accept no liability for accidents that may occur during or subsequent to our cooking holidays. We also accept no liability for accidents that may occur due to a participant's medical or physical conditions/complaints, which may occur/develop during or subsequent to the holiday.
Resolving Complaints In the event of any problems arising during the holiday, you must report it immediately to us in the course of the holiday and failing satisfactory resolution of the problem, you should file us, in writing, within 10 days of the end of the class. No liability will be accepted for any complaint not reported to our representative at the appropriate time.
All rights reserved by Le Contesse. Any reporting or recording of culinary tours, the farmhouse, cooking classes and/or services must have prior written permission from the management.
All content provided in our cooking classes, on our website including but not limited to graphics, images, logos and text, and the arrangement thereof is the copyright of Le Contesse, and is protected by applicable international laws. Any use (including display, distribution, modification, republication, reproduction, or transmission of the content) is strictly prohibited.
It is always our aim to resolve any complaint amicably. However, should this not be possible Italian law in Italy governs the terms and conditions and both parties should submit to the jurisdiction of the Italian courts at all times.
